Please, Let Me Love This Game!
First and foremost, this game could be BRILLIANT. No exaggeration. But, my friend, before I can say anything else, there is one thing you HAVE to fix: controlling the stick man.
I think this could be an interesting game, honestly. It reminds me of the helicopter game, where after a while of dropping stick men onto trucks filled with pillows, tons of spikes and missiles come to try and stop you. Same basic concept, except this is a platformer of sorts. Could be fun; the music is great, idea is interesting, and the graphics are actually pretty decent.
But I cannot control the stickman if my life depended on it. Sometimes, when I jump, he jumps way too damn far (which is problem once those death machines start appearing), and then sometimes the jump makes me go a half of a millimeter forward, meaning I'm stuck on the same damn platform. The sliding is too much and unpredictable, makes it even more difficult to control. The stickman is very, very slow, and I just don't feel like he's responding to my button-inputs. But more than anything else...the walls. The way he bounces when he hits a wall is SO damn irritating, I just couldn't play it after a while. It makes it impossible to get anywhere. All of these things combined make this a bad game to play. In a game that's all about dodging split-second attacks...you have to have precise control over your character.
Don't get me wrong, this has the potential to be a WONDERFUL game, no doubt. But you need to rework the above first; then we'll see what happens. Good luck, amigo.
